Koratty Grama Panchayath, located in Thrissur district, shares the legal vision and mission of the Kerala Local Self Government Department (LSGD). Its primary objective is to develop a self-sustaining, inclusive and decentralized local government system with sustainable development, citizen centric e-governance and social security to the residents. The holistic vision and mission of the local body emphasizes the following: Vision To create a vibrant, clean and sustainable rural environment driven by democratic principles. Promote seamless participation of all citizens in decision-making, planning, and implementation of local development. To build an equal, caring and harmonious society that deeply values the well-being and concerns of every individual. Mission Empowering the Marginalized: There is a lot of focus on social protection and welfare for the marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society, including special old age and active ageing programs. Citizen Centric E-Governance: Maintain good governance by optimizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to make public services such as welfare schemes and utility tracking easily accessible and transparent to the public. Sustainable Development: Ensure complete sanitation, sustainable waste management, housing, and livelihood opportunities are provided to every household.
